The service here is amazing: friendly, attentive and simply very good.
Generally, I would say this is more of a 3-star place, as the food is good but not spectacular. But the atmosphere, the prices, the huge portions and the staff brings it up to a four.
Huge selection of pizzas and pastas (and other dishes too), most come with a lot of cheese. You're easily stuffed, for almost no money. I've never left this place disappointed, but if you are not a big fan of cheesy, somewhat greesy food, then you might not like it.
We have been there several times, and will go several times more. -

This restaurant can be found in a lovely corner of Richardplatz opposite a lovely old church and near a 17th century Smith which is still in operation today it seems. The staff here are extremely helpful and friendly which is absolutely fantastic and unfortunately a little rare in Berlin sometimes. According to a sign the restaurant has been there for 34 years and seems very popular with locals and has a family atmosphere, it's nice a clean, well cared for.
Reluctant as I am to say so, I was very disappointed with the food I tried 3 starters, Garlic bread which seemed to me to be pan fried stale German bread with large pieces of chopped Garlic and herbs spread on the top. I didn't find this tasty or appetising at all. Next was snails which was the best dish I had, it was a little over salted but nothing unmanageable. The third was artichoke baked in a tomato sauce with cheese melted on top, sounded divine on the menu but was incredibly salty which seemed to be a theme of my evening. As a main I had a pizza, I was far from thrilled about what I got, it was if the chef had opened whole packets of cold meat and just dumped them on the pizza still in their layers, in fact that is exactly what it was like. The pizza base was not the best either, It reminded me of a frozen pizza.
Everyone has their own tastes and expectations when it comes to food, my expectations were not met and I left feeling disappointed about it. It is never nice having to write negative things about a popular place. -

This place was an absolute waste of my time and culinary expertise. I feel insulated and some what violated. My delightful sister went threw a traumatic experience when finding a leaf. Do not come here unless you are a taste less baboon. Good day sir.

Great neighborhood Italian restaurant; tasty sauces and friendly, multi-lingual (well, German, Italian, and English at least) waitstaff.
